Whether you just received your Aggie Ring or are in town for other Parents’ Weekend events, please join us at the War Hymn statue on the east side of Kyle Field to learn about the benefits of becoming a 12th Man Foundation member and to sign up to view ongoing construction from inside the stadium! Light refreshments will be provided. Take pictures with your family and friends, and learn how you can support the 12th Man!

Explore the College of Geosciences during our open house for current and prospective students and their parents.  The Dean for the College of Geosciences will provide an overview of our programs and research, followed by a student panel on how to excel as an undergraduate student and an introduction to the high impact learning experiences offered by the college including undergraduate research, internships and study abroad.

Mathematics Fair

The Texas A&M Mathematics fair in honor of math awareness month will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 9 am-1:30 pm. The activities will take place on the first floor of the Blocker Building.  Everyone is welcome regardless of age or background.   There will be a lecture, movies, math art, math games and activities, and a math contest for grade groups K-2, 3-4, 5-6, and 7-8. This will be  followed by a free pizza lunch at noon.

Parents' Weekend Health Fair

In this event, our students will screen for hypertension and diabetes and educate the public about risk factors, prevention strategies, and proper monitoring and control of Diabetes and Hypertension. All of the costs associated with this event will be covered by school of Pharmacy. All the material and procedure is reviewed and approved by College of Pharmacy and Department of Student Activity. This service is free for participants.

The Downtown Street & Art Fair

Begun in 2009, features artists and artisans from across Texas demonstrating and selling artwork. Drawings, paintings, jewelry, pottery, glass and metal art create an eclectic mix of offerings seldom seen in one exhibition. Complemented by live music throughout the day, the fair is set against the backdrop of Historic Downtown Bryan, an area recently designated as a Texas Cultural District by the Texas Commission on the Arts. New this year will be a showcase of metal sculptures built for MonuMetal, a sculpture competition recognized as 2014’s Best Promotional Event by the Texas Downtown Association.

Come get a sample of what Aggieland is all about. Local restaurants sell meals to show you what they have to offer, while local businesses give out goodies and information on their services. Performances by Texas A&M student organizations and lawn games will also be taking place!

Visit your favorite library and take a “selfie” tour with your student to see where they study. Explore Aggie history at Cushing Library with a sneak peak of the online Aggieland Yearbook Collection and examine rare artifacts from the University Archives. At Evans Library stop by our photo booth to take a photo with our giant, stuffed Reveille and enjoy snacks. View historic campus maps with Mapping Historic Aggieland and a visit the second floor Map & GIS area to see a mini-exhibit of popular items.
